Program Design

The development of Finding You. came through me after a profound personal awakening. The racial unrest of 2020, coupled with multiple other life changes, caused me to pause and look deeply at my way of being as a Black woman in this country.

This stack of books represents the voices and the work of Black women who supported my transformation and inspired Finding You. There were documentaries, courses with authors' and time spent in spaces dedicated to unlearning/relearning the history of this country. Gathering, learning, and reshaping my way of being led to the questions that make up the arc of Finding You.

As a professional coach, long-term mentor, and volunteer who has supported women's and girls' initiatives, I wanted to design a program infused with the innate knowledge of what it's like to be a Black woman in this country. We are living in a time of hyper-focus on anti-racist work that supports educating white women. While that work is needed and highly commendable, there is a noticeable gap in offerings that support Black women understanding their conditioning from systems of oppression and taking back their intended power.

There is an arc to Finding You. which begins at the beginning and moves through a series of questions that have us investigate, acknowledge, and reshape our way of being.

The program unfolds at your Table, in your home, through interactive creative activities done together online with time as the final piece to intentionally allow space for you to observe each phase in your life between sessions. "More time to integrate what we're uncovering" - was the #1 request from the pilot cohorts, so more time has been provided.

I hope to see you at the Table of your choice doing the work of Finding You.
