The Art of Whole Being

begins with Finding You.

Finding You. is dedicated to the advancement of Black Women’s wellness.

It focuses on investigating, acknowledging, and resetting the conditioned shapes we are forced into. Labels like tired, overwhelmed, fearful, aggressive, over-worked, perfectionist, super woman, savior, strong and ‘physical object’ may be familiar to you, and these are narratives that in many cases are not aligned to our authentic ways of being.

This conditioning changes the way we see ourselves and each other, and because it’s a part of everything we do, we are subconsciously impacted every day. Finding You. is not only self-work but collective work for generations past and future.

Join a curated group of courageous, like-minded women ready to take the first step in finding themselves.

Wellness for Black Women

In Oprah's documentary (In)Visible Portraits - Dr. Joy DeGruy, author of Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome, creates a visual image of Black women's position in the hierarchy of oppression. She describes what we experience in this way, "Black women feel racism from white women, racism from white men, sexism from white men, and sexism from men of color; we are the oppressed of the oppressed."

The system of oppression exists to disconnect us from ourselves. It is a system that feels bigger than we can comprehend and beyond our control. Still, our wellness, resilience, and perseverance are forms of rebellion. Recognizing and dismantling the internal conditioning and finding the connection back to ourselves and to each other is the work of anti-oppression.

Finding You. is the first step in that liberation.
